Pyestock

Pyestock was from the 1950’s to the 1980’s one of the world’s premier sites for gas turbine research and testing. Every gas turbine used in a Royal Navy ship was tested here along with the engines for Concord.
This huge, well preserved site is shortly to be demolished to make way for a supermarket distribution centre.
